Ohio Senator Jon Husted Urges Max Miller to Resign

Ohio Republican Senator Jon Husted called on Representative Max Miller to resign from his House seat and abandon his reelection bid for Ohio's 7th Congressional District. The demand follows a congressional ethics investigation into domestic abuse allegations brought by Miller's ex-wife, Emily Moreno.

Other Republican figures have joined the call for Miller's exit. Senator Bernie Moreno and Donovan O'Neil of Americans for Prosperity-Ohio both labeled the representative unfit to serve. Miller, a former senior aide to Donald Trump, has vehemently denied the allegations and stated his intention to remain in the race against Democrat Brian Poindexter.

Under Ohio law, Miller must withdraw by Saturday to allow for a replacement process before the Monday deadline. This pressure comes as former President Donald Trump cautioned Miller that he faces an uphill battle in the upcoming election.
