Wiltshire Council Closes Mortimer Street for Highway Improvements

Wiltshire Council closed Mortimer Street in Trowbridge to conduct major highway improvement works affecting both the carriageway and footway. The project began on July 27 and is expected to last ten weeks, with a scheduled completion date of October 2.

While Mortimer Street remains closed for some or all of the construction period, access via Frome Road stays open. The council has implemented signed diversion routes and advised motorists to allow extra travel time.

Officials noted that the final completion date may shift depending on construction progress and weather conditions.
