Walmart Completes 1.4 Billion Dollar Acquisition of Vibe.co
Walmart completed the acquisition of streaming TV advertising platform Vibe.co to integrate its self-service tools into the Walmart Connect advertising ecosystem.
Walmart completed its acquisition of Vibe.co, a self-service streaming TV advertising platform, on August 4, 2026. The deal, which was first announced in June, integrates Vibe.co's technology into Walmart Connect to help small- and medium-sized brands launch streaming TV campaigns across multiple publishers.
Although the retailer did not officially disclose the purchase price, The Wall Street Journal reported the acquisition cost at $1.4 billion. The move is part of a broader strategy to expand the company's advertising business and improve customer reach throughout the commerce journey.
This transaction follows Walmart's 2024 purchase of TV manufacturer Vizio for $2.3 billion. Ryan Mayward, the GM and Senior Vice President of Walmart Connect, stated that the platform makes streaming TV advertising simple and accessible for businesses of all sizes.
