Nita Ambani Launches Anant Ashray Care Township in Karjat

Nita Ambani laid the foundation stone for a 100-acre not-for-profit care township in Karjat to support orphans, seniors, and people with disabilities.

Philanthropist Nita Ambani marked her birthday on November 1, 2026, by performing the Bhumi Pujan and laying the foundation stone for the Nita Mukesh Ambani Anant Ashray. Established by the Reliance Foundation, the project is a 100-acre not-for-profit care township located in Karjat, Maharashtra, near Mumbai.

The facility is designed as a lifelong home for more than 5,000 residents, including senior citizens, orphaned children, and individuals with developmental disabilities such as epilepsy, cerebral palsy, and autism. The township will be developed in phases and will feature eight residential villages named after sacred Indian rivers, a specialized hospital, rehabilitation services, inclusive schools, and vocational training centers.

Beyond its permanent residents, the project expects to support a broader community of 15,000 people, including staff and caregivers. The initiative will also provide outreach services, including mobile medical clinics, therapy, education, and employment opportunities to approximately 1,000 people in neighboring districts.
