Leaked Intel Nova Lake Benchmarks Show Performance Gains

Intel is reportedly developing Nova Lake processors that outperform AMD's top chips in leaked benchmarks, though production samples may not yet be available.

Leaked benchmarks and naming details for Intel's upcoming Nova Lake processor series suggest a significant performance increase over current market leaders. A leaked CPU-Z screenshot of a Core Ultra 9 4950K shows a single-core score near 1,000 points and a multi-core score near 20,000 points. These results would surpass the current best performance for processors under 32 threads, including the Ryzen 9 9950X3D2 from AMD.

The leaked chip reportedly features 28 cores, consisting of 8 Performance, 16 Efficient, and 4 Low Power cores, and lacks Hyper-Threading. The data also indicates that Intel may shift to a four-digit model numbering system for the Nova Lake-S processors expected in 2026.

While the benchmarks suggest a competitive leap, the timeline for release remains uncertain. Some sources suggest a late 2026 launch, but enthusiast Gotou_3rd claims that qualification samples have not yet been sent to partners, which could potentially delay the product's arrival on the market.
