IBM Corporation and OpenAI Inc. Partner to Scale Enterprise AI

IBM Corporation and OpenAI Inc. have entered a strategic partnership to accelerate the secure deployment of artificial intelligence across core enterprise operations and complex workflows. The collaboration embeds OpenAI frontier models, including GPT-5.6, Codex, and ChatGPT Work, into IBM Consulting Advantage, the AI delivery platform of IBM.

The partnership targets three primary areas: transforming legacy operations into AI-ready workflows, modernizing application and product development, and enhancing cybersecurity and AI risk management. The latter will be achieved by integrating OpenAI capabilities with IBM Autonomous Security.

To execute this initiative, IBM is launching a dedicated OpenAI Practice and joining the Elite partner tier of OpenAI. The company will deploy thousands of consultants and engineers certified through the OpenAI Partner Network to assist clients in the retail, telecommunications, government, and financial services sectors.
