India and Greenland Discuss Mining and Arctic Research Ties

Manish Prabhat, India's Ambassador to Denmark, visited Nuuk to expand diplomatic and economic cooperation between India and Greenland. During meetings with Kim Marius Kielsen, Speaker of the Parliament of Greenland, the two officials explored partnerships focused on mining investment, cultural exchange, and the provision of skilled manpower for the healthcare and hospitality sectors.

Ambassador Prabhat also met with Natuk Lund Meire, Permanent Secretary of Environment, Nature, Energy and Research of Greenland, to discuss India's interest in conducting Arctic research in collaboration with Greenlandic scientific institutions.

To promote cultural ties, the Embassy of India organized Namaste Greenland presentations at GUX Nuuk High School. These events included a yoga session and a presentation on Ayurveda, which aimed to highlight similarities between the traditional medicinal practices of India and Greenland.
