China Condemns Japan's Unit 731 Biological Warfare Crimes
Chen Xi of China's Ministry of National Defense condemned Japan's wartime biological experiments following a documentary on the inhumane activities of Unit 731.
Spokesman Chen Xi of China's Ministry of National Defense stated on Friday that the war crimes committed by the Japanese army in China during World War II are undeniable. The remarks followed the release of a documentary by the Singapore-based network CNA titled "Inside Unit 731: Japan's Secret Human Experiments," which details Japan's wartime biological weapons program.
Chen asserted that Unit 731 conducted inhumane experiments on living people and engaged in biological warfare. He expressed concern over efforts by right-wing forces in Japan to distort history and downplay the aggression of the war. Chen argued that Japan can only move forward through sincere remorse and thorough reflection on its past crimes.
