Haudecoeur Acquires Heliadis and Natur Food for European Expansion
Haudecoeur acquired sauces maker Heliadis and wholesaler Natur Food to enter the German market and expand its European world food platform.
French food distributor Haudecoeur, backed by private equity firm Apheon Advisors SA, has acquired Belgium-based sauces maker Heliadis and Germany-based Turkish food wholesaler Natur Food. These transactions represent the company's first global expansion, intended to establish Haudecoeur as a leading European platform for world food.
The acquisitions provide specific strategic advantages: Natur Food grants immediate access to the Turkish community in Germany and France, while Heliadis enhances the company's presence in the ethnic fast-food segment and the sauces category. Combined, the three companies now report a turnover exceeding 350 million euros.
CEO Miloud Benaouda stated that the moves mark a milestone in the company's internationalisation journey. While the strategic synergies were highlighted by leadership, the financial terms of the two deals were not disclosed.
