Anthropic Prepares IPO Filing With Draft S-1 Prospectus
Anthropic is preparing for an initial public offering with a draft S-1 prospectus detailing executive compensation and existential risks of artificial general intelligence.
Anthropic is preparing for an initial public offering, according to a draft S-1 prospectus obtained by the Wall Street Journal. Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley are managing the filing, which reveals the compensation structures for the company's top leadership.
CEO Dario Amodei received total compensation of $18 million for the most recent year, while President Daniela Amodei received $16.5 million. Both executives earned base salaries of $655,000. These figures remain significantly lower than the earnings of leaders at the firms handling the IPO, such as Goldman Sachs CEO David Solomon, who earned $47 million in 2025, and Morgan Stanley CEO Ted Pick, who earned $45 million.
Beyond financial disclosures, the document includes a substantial risk factors section. This portion of the prospectus details the existential risks associated with the development of artificial general intelligence.
