Eric Schmidt Lists Superyacht Whisper for $172.5 Million

Eric Schmidt, the former CEO of Google, has listed his 95-meter superyacht, Whisper, for sale at a price of $172.5 million. The vessel was originally constructed by the German shipyard Lürssen and features five decks, a movie theater, a spa, and a swimming pool, with capacity for 12 guests and a 27-person crew.

Schmidt purchased the yacht from Shahid Khan in 2023 for $161 million and completed a retrofit of the vessel last year. While the yacht is currently listed for sale, it remains available for charter at a rate of $1.4 million per week. A representative for Schmidt declined to comment on the reason for the sale.
