YouTube Expands India Shopping Program With Major Retailers
YouTube added Amazon, AJIO, Meesho, Snapdeal, and Tata CLiQ to its India Shopping affiliate program to boost creator earnings ahead of the festive season.
YouTube expanded its Shopping affiliate programme in India by adding Amazon, AJIO, Meesho, Snapdeal, and Tata CLiQ to its network of retailers. The expansion provides consumers and creators access to a wider range of products from specialized brands and value marketplaces in anticipation of the festive shopping season.
The move follows a period of rapid growth for the platform's local partners. Average payouts to Indian creators increased by more than 160 percent year-over-year between the first quarters of 2025 and 2026.
To support this growth, the platform is introducing AI-powered tools, including Ask YouTube for Shopping for viewer inquiries and Ask Studio for Brand Partnerships to assist creators in pitching campaigns. YouTube is also updating product tags to accommodate regional deals and local currencies for creators with global audiences. The company plans to launch Exclusive Affiliate Campaigns with higher commission rates in India next year.
