Prime Minister Donald Tusk led a business delegation to Bengaluru to expand cooperation in AI, aerospace, and pharmaceuticals and double bilateral trade with India by 2030.
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk led a delegation of 100 business leaders to Bengaluru on October 23 to strengthen economic and technological ties with Karnataka. During the India-Poland Business Forum and the Global Investors Meet 2027, Tusk called for the establishment of joint ventures in artificial intelligence, digital products, and space technology. He urged both nations to move beyond traditional trade, suggesting that Polish expertise in European markets combined with Indian scaling capabilities could introduce new products globally.
Karnataka Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar met with Tusk to discuss expanding cooperation in aerospace, pharmaceuticals, and scientific research. Shivakumar invited Poland to serve as a country partner for the Global Investors Meet 2027 and encouraged investment in medical products and sustainable industrial solutions. A key outcome of the visit included a proposed 80 crore rupee investment by the TZMO Group to manufacture smart adult incontinence pads in the Kolar district, a project expected to create 1,000 jobs.
Poland's Finance and Economy Minister Andrzej Domaski highlighted Poland as the fastest-growing economy in Europe and sought deeper partnerships in the ICT and space sectors. Bilateral trade between India and Poland grew from USD 1.95 billion in 2013 to USD 6.36 billion in 2025, with the Polish government setting a target to double that figure by 2030.
