Game developer Pocketpair will maintain the $29.99 price for Palworld following the launch of version 1.0 on July 10, 2026. This decision reverses previous expectations that the cost would increase as the title exits its early access period, which lasted more than two years.
The studio announced the pricing decision as a thank you to its community after the game surpassed 40 million players. This milestone exceeds the estimated combined sales of Pokemon Red, Blue, and Green, though the developer noted that its own figures track total players rather than copies sold due to the game's presence on Xbox Game Pass.
Bucky, the company's Head of Publishing & Communications, estimated the 1.0 update will go live around 12:30 p.m. JST on July 10. The developer describes the release as a massive update intended to introduce numerous improvements and changes to the survival creature-collecting game.
