Iren Targets $4 Billion Revenue Amid Neocloud Market Volatility

Iren is expanding its AI infrastructure pipeline and targeting $4 billion in annual recurring revenue despite projections that most neocloud providers will fail by 2030.

The neocloud provider Iren is expanding its AI infrastructure capacity while positioning itself as a financially stable alternative to competitors facing balance sheet stress. The company is currently managing a 5.8-gigawatt pipeline, with plans to deliver 300 megawatts by 2026 and 800 megawatts by the end of 2027. Iren is targeting $4 billion in annual recurring revenue by the end of the year, utilizing customer prepayments to cover 45% to 55% of GPU capital expenditures.

This growth occurs against a backdrop of market skepticism. Gartner projects that 80% of neocloud providers will cease independent operations by 2030 due to concerns over AI infrastructure spending. Iren maintains a current ratio of 3.55, a figure that contrasts sharply with competitor CoreWeave's 0.46. This disparity has manifested in the credit markets, where CoreWeave corporate bonds have reached yields of 15%.

To support its operational scale, Iren recently secured the inclusion of its 2-gigawatt Sweetwater Hub as Base Load in ERCOT Batch Zero. The company is currently conducting discussions for capacity at approximately $25 million per megawatt.
