Iran and Hezbollah Vow Response on Nasrallah Anniversary
Iran's military chief and Hezbollah's leader vowed continued resistance and a devastating response to threats during the second anniversary of Hassan Nasrallah's death.
Major General Ali Abdollahi, Chief of Staff of Iran's Armed Forces, declared that Iran and its allied resistance forces are prepared to deliver a "devastating" and "decisive" response to any threat against the Islamic Ummah. Speaking on the second anniversary of the death of former Hezbollah leader Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah, Abdollahi asserted that the 2024 Israeli airstrike in Beirut failed to weaken the axis of resistance.
Abdollahi claimed the assassination instead fostered "covert strategic integration" across Iraq, Yemen, Palestine, and Lebanon. He stated that the enemy's calculations failed in thinking the elimination of Nasrallah would cause the central pillar of the resistance to collapse.
In Beirut's southern suburbs, Hezbollah Secretary-General Naim Qassem held a ceremony to honor Nasrallah, characterizing him as a symbol for global freedom movements. Qassem vowed that resistance against Israel will persist until Israeli forces completely withdraw from occupied territories, affirming that the organization will continue along the path Nasrallah established.
