Palantir Revenue Surges 93% on AI Sovereignty Demand
Palantir Technologies reported a 93% year-over-year revenue increase for the second quarter of 2026, driven by explosive growth in its U.S. commercial AI business.
Palantir Technologies reported second-quarter 2026 revenue of $1.935 billion, a 92.8% increase year-over-year that significantly exceeded Wall Street expectations. This growth was primarily driven by a surge in U.S. commercial revenue, which rose between 104% and 149% depending on the reporting metric. The company's GAAP operating margin reached 47%, and total contract value stood at $3.37 billion by the end of the quarter.
CEO Alex Karp stated that the business has essentially doubled over the past year, attributing the performance to an unleashed demand for AI sovereignty. Following these results, management raised full-year revenue guidance to a range between $8.150 billion and $8.158 billion. The company secured 73 contracts worth at least $10 million during the second quarter and maintains a total remaining deal value of $13.1 billion.
Despite the growth, the company faces scrutiny over its valuation. With a market capitalization of $440.66 billion, the stock trades at 273x trailing earnings. Analysts note a heavy reliance on the U.S. market, which accounts for over 81% of total revenue, and warn that competitors may attempt to replicate Palantir's sovereign data privacy solutions.
