Crusoe signed a five-year cloud contract with Jane Street Group for $13 billion to provide AI chips and infrastructure for training and inference.
Data center company Crusoe signed a five-year cloud contract with trading firm Jane Street Group valued at approximately $13 billion. Under the agreement, Crusoe will provide Jane Street with clusters of advanced AI chips, specifically GPUs, and the necessary infrastructure for AI training and inference via its cloud platform.
This deal marks Jane Street as the highest-profile cloud customer for Crusoe to date. The partnership has increased interest in Crusoe's current fundraising efforts, as the company discusses raising roughly $3 billion at a $30 billion valuation.
Jane Street Group has established a pattern of investing in neocloud providers to secure computing power. The firm previously announced plans to spend $6 billion on services from CoreWeave, accompanied by a $1 billion equity investment in that company.
