Revolut Considers Dual Listing in New York and London
Revolut CEO Nik Storonsky announced the fintech firm is weighing a dual stock market listing on the Nasdaq and London Stock Exchange.
Nik Storonsky, the founder and CEO of Revolut, announced that the fintech company is considering a dual stock market listing on the London Stock Exchange and New York's Nasdaq index. The company, which was recently valued at 115 billion US dollars, is targeting growth in the United States to strengthen its position with New York investors before an initial public offering.
Storonsky expressed a preference for the United States, citing its larger market and higher liquidity provided by a vast pool of institutional and individual investors. He noted that the company faces a choice between a smaller market with fewer buyers and a larger one where investors would compete more fiercely for shares. Despite this preference, he indicated that a dual listing remains a viable option.
Storonsky suggested a float could occur within two years, depending on market conditions. A successful listing in London would provide a significant boost to the city's stock market following a period of limited new listings and could establish Revolut as one of the largest public companies in the United Kingdom, potentially surpassing rivals such as Barclays and NatWest Group.
