Israeli Forces Demolish Palestinian Homes Across West Bank
Israeli forces demolished residential buildings and detained 35 Palestinians across the West Bank and Jerusalem, citing a lack of building permits.
Israeli forces demolished multiple Palestinian homes and residential buildings across the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem on November 5, 2026. In the town of Biddu, northwest of Jerusalem, bulldozers destroyed five homes, displacing more than 20 Palestinians. While the Jerusalem Governorate reported that residents were forced to evacuate, Israeli authorities stated the demolitions were due to a lack of building permits.
Additional demolitions occurred in Furush Beit Dajan and Qarawat Bani Hassan, where a single-story home was destroyed and a stop-work order was issued. In the Bir al-Maskoub Bedouin community east of Jerusalem, rights groups Peace Now, Ir Amim, and Bimkom reported that roughly half of the structures were demolished. These organizations linked the activity to the revival of the E1 settlement project.
Simultaneously, Israeli forces conducted military raids in Nablus, Hebron, Qalqilya, and the Dheisheh refugee camp. The Palestinian Prisoners’ Media Office reported that 35 Palestinians were detained and questioned during these operations.
