DigiCert Integrates AI Trust Manager With NVIDIA Safety Platform
DigiCert partnered with NVIDIA to provide verifiable identities and authority controls for autonomous AI agents using a new AI Passport system.
DigiCert integrated its AI Trust Manager with the NVIDIA Open Agent Safety Platform to establish verifiable identity and authority controls for autonomous AI agents. The partnership pairs DigiCert's services with NVIDIA OpenShell, a secure runtime that records agent decisions and enforces infrastructure-level controls.
As part of the integration, DigiCert introduced the AI Passport, a cryptographically signed credential that links an agent to an accountable owner. The system uses policy-based visas to define specific access permissions and includes an automated kill switch to quarantine agents that attempt prohibited actions.
CEO Amit Sinha stated that the partnership utilizes a public key infrastructure model to allow agents to interact across different companies and clouds without relying on a single identity provider. While NVIDIA establishes the operating boundary around the agent, DigiCert provides the identity and authority that persists beyond that boundary. Initial support focuses on NVIDIA OpenShell, with future plans to expand enterprise AI governance and auditability.
