Baloch Liberation Army Kills 13 Pakistan Coast Guard Personnel

The Baloch Liberation Army claimed responsibility for a coordinated attack on two Pakistan Coast Guard boats in Jiwani, killing 13 personnel.

The Baloch Liberation Army claimed responsibility for a coordinated attack on two Pakistan Coast Guard boats in Jiwani, a coastal area of the Gwadar district in Balochistan. The group reported that 13 Pakistani personnel were killed during the operation.

The attack was executed by the Hammal Maritime Defence Force, the maritime wing of the BLA formed in April 2026 to protect the coastline and resources of Balochistan. The group released video footage showing masked fighters using a speedboat equipped with modern weapons to open fire on the patrolling vessels.

This operation marks the second mission for the Hammal Maritime Defence Force in the Jiwani area, following an April operation that the BLA claimed killed three naval personnel. The BLA asserted that its military capabilities now extend to deep-sea targets and naval installations, stating that its campaign will continue until the establishment of a sovereign Baloch state.
