Foxconn and Luxshare Expand Gaming Hardware Production in Vietnam

Electronics manufacturers are shifting production capacities to Vietnam to diversify supply chains away from China. Fushan Technology, a subsidiary of Hon Hai Precision Industry Co., Ltd. (Foxconn), is seeking permits to expand its production hub in Bac Ninh province. The company plans to produce up to 4.8 million Microsoft Xbox gaming devices and parts annually, while increasing its mobile phone manufacturing capacity by 30 million units to reach a total of 140 million.

Fushan's expansion also includes the production of smart ring charging devices, up to 3 million other smart wearables, and maintaining a capacity of 100,000 drones per year. Factory upgrades are already underway, with full operations expected by April 2026.

Simultaneously, Chinese manufacturer Luxshare Precision Industry Co. has submitted a proposal to Bac Ninh authorities to produce up to 4.5 million game consoles per year starting in 2026. Hon Hai Precision Industry has invested over $3.2 billion in Vietnam to support its operational footprint across northern provinces.
