Fox Corporation Completes $22 Billion Acquisition of Roku

Fox Corporation acquired Roku for $22 billion to integrate the streaming platform's 100 million household reach with Fox's live sports and news programming.

Fox Corporation completed its $22 billion acquisition of Roku, Inc. on November 6, 2026. The deal merges Roku's streaming platform, which serves over 100 million households, with Fox's portfolio of live sports, news, and local programming.

Under the terms of the merger, Roku stockholders received $95.30 in cash and 0.9799 shares of FOX Class A common stock per share. Fox stockholders now own approximately 74% of the combined entity. The company expects the transaction to be accretive to free cash flow per share by the second full year and aims to achieve $400 million in run-rate cost synergies within two years.

Roku will continue to operate as an open ecosystem for the streaming industry. As part of the leadership transition, Roku founder Anthony Wood joined the Fox board of directors and became Co-Chair of the newly created FOX Digital Platforms division, serving alongside CEO Paul Cheesbrough.
