Nvidia Board Authorizes $150 Billion in Share Repurchases
Nvidia authorized $150 billion in share buybacks while projecting an 89% revenue jump for the fiscal third quarter despite a recent 15% dip in share price.
Nvidia Inc. authorized $150 billion in share repurchases to support its valuation as the company maintains its lead in the AI hardware market. The move follows a period of market volatility that saw shares drop 15% from an all-time high reached in October 2026.
Financial performance remains strong, with the company reporting accelerating revenue growth of 106% for the second quarter of fiscal year 2027. Nvidia projects a further 89% revenue increase for the fiscal third quarter, with official results scheduled for announcement on November 17.
Despite this growth, the company faces several headwinds, including the cyclical nature of the semiconductor industry and potential margin contraction. Additionally, Nvidia is managing local opposition to the expansion of its data centers while remaining the largest global provider of AI accelerators and hardware solutions.
