Republicans Sweep Arkansas Gubernatorial and Congressional Races

Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders and three Republican U.S. Representatives won re-election in Arkansas during the November 2026 elections.

Republican candidates secured decisive victories across Arkansas in the November 2026 elections. Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders won re-election on November 3, securing 52.8% of the vote with 329,721 ballots. She defeated Democratic state Senator Fred Love, who received 40.4%, and Libertarian candidate Colt Shelby, who received 6.8%. Sanders campaigned on her first-term implementation of the LEARNS Act, while Love focused his campaign on criticisms of her education policies and a proposed prison project in Franklin County.

On November 4, Republican incumbents Rick Crawford, Steve Womack, and Bruce Westerman all won re-election to the U.S. House of Representatives. Crawford defeated Democrat Terri Yarbrough Green and Libertarian Steve Parsons in the 1st District. Womack won the 3rd District against Democrat Robb Ryerse and Libertarian Bobby Wilson, and Westerman defeated Democrat James Russell in the 4th District.

The winning congressional representatives attributed their success to their records of service and constituent relations. Crawford and Westerman emphasized the importance of their work within their districts and on their respective House committees over national political trends.
