Experts Name India Global Anchor for Stability and Technology
Global experts and diplomats identify India as a key driver of technological innovation and a neutral stabilizer amid geopolitical turbulence in West Asia and the West.
Global experts and diplomats at the Economist Enterprise Resilient Futures Summit 2026 in New Delhi identified India as an emerging anchor for global stability, economic growth, and technological progress. Participants emphasized the nation's ability to navigate geopolitical uncertainty and restore multilateral trust during a period of shifting trade dynamics and systemic weakness.
During the summit, Ian Blatchford noted that India maintains an optimistic approach toward artificial intelligence, contrasting it with skepticism in Western economies. He highlighted India's capacity to build AI centers while balancing rising energy demands with quality-of-life improvements, positioning the country as a primary innovation driver for the Global South.
Parallel discussions on the Middle East regional order further framed India as a trusted neutral balancer in West Asia. Egyptian parliamentarian Mohamed M Farid characterized India as a constructive partner capable of deep strategic cooperation. In response to regional instability and threats from terror networks, the Government of India has advocated for ceasefires and the security of energy flows and free navigation through the Strait of Hormuz.
