OVES Enterprise and EDRONE Launch Military Drone Plant in Romania
OVES Enterprise and EDRONE are establishing a military drone production facility in Cluj-Napoca to manufacture combat-validated systems for Romania and Europe.
OVES Enterprise, a Romanian technology firm, has partnered with Ukrainian manufacturer EDRONE to establish a joint military drone production facility in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. The collaboration integrates the Nemesis AI platform from OVES Enterprise—which provides target identification, tracking, and terminal guidance—with EDRONE's combat-validated serial production processes developed during the conflict in Ukraine.
The facility will initially produce reconnaissance, interceptor, and FPV drones. Production targets begin at 1,000 units per month, with medium-term goals to scale output to between 10,000 and 15,000 units. The first Romanian-manufactured units are scheduled for unveiling this autumn.
By creating a production hub to serve Romania, Ukraine, and other European nations, the project aims to strengthen the European defense industrial base. The partnership seeks to reduce reliance on non-continental suppliers by building local industrial capabilities and transferring production models proven in real-world conditions.
