Yemeni Forces Intensify Al-Jawf Offensive Against Houthi Militias
Yemeni government forces and the Popular Resistance launched coordinated artillery and drone strikes against Houthi positions in Al-Jawf province as part of the Dawn of Yemen campaign.
The Government of Yemen and the Popular Resistance intensified military operations against Houthi militias in Al-Jawf province on October 18, 2026. Operating under the Dawn of Yemen campaign, units from the Sixth Military Region executed coordinated assaults using artillery and unmanned aerial vehicles to target Houthi barracks, troop concentrations, and fortifications in the southeastern sector.
These ground operations resulted in significant militia casualties and the destruction of several combat vehicles. To support the advance, coalition aircraft conducted precision airstrikes that neutralized Houthi command centers and weapons depots. These strikes were designed to degrade the operational and logistical capabilities of the insurgent group within the region.
