TSMC September Revenue Hits $16.03 Billion Amid AI Demand

Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co reported a 54.6% year-over-year revenue increase for September, driven by high demand for advanced AI chips.

Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co reported September revenue of 511.86 billion New Taiwan dollars, or approximately $16.03 billion. This figure represents a 54.6% increase compared to the previous year, although it marks a slight 0.6% decline from August levels. Total revenue for the third quarter reached approximately NT1.49 trillion.

The company continues to see growth fueled by strong demand for advanced AI chips from major customers, including Apple and Nvidia. To maintain its production edge, the chipmaker committed in September to adopting High NA extreme ultraviolet lithography machines from ASML Holding. This move places the company alongside Samsung Electronics in the adoption of the new technology.

TSMC is scheduled to release its full third-quarter earnings report next week.
