Blue Light Card Offers Energy Incentives for Frontline Workers
Blue Light Card provides cash incentives up to £85 for frontline workers switching energy providers before October 1 to offset rising energy costs.
Workers in 32 qualifying professions, including the NHS, teaching, emergency services, and armed forces, can receive cash incentives of up to £85 by switching energy providers through the Blue Light Card before October 1.
These incentives are designed to offset a 4% increase in the energy price cap set by Ofgem, which will raise the average annual bill for dual-fuel households in England, Wales, and Scotland to £1,723. Available offers include an £85 Amazon gift card from ScottishPower, a £55 gift card from EDF, and a £50 Amazon gift card from Uswitch.
Steffie Brader, Head of Strategic Partnerships at Blue Light Card, urged frontline workers to review their tariffs to reduce monthly costs. Brader noted that "with changes to the energy price cap coming this autumn, frontline workers are facing continued pressure on household budgets."
