Aquaterra Energy Completes First Phase of Nigerian Oil Platform

Aquaterra Energy completed the first phase of a fast-track offshore oil platform project for Emadeb Energy in Nigeria. The company designed and fabricated a subsea template within a six-month window, a move that allows drilling to begin while the remaining platform structure is fabricated at a Nigerian yard.
The conductor-supported platform will host wellheads and route production to a nearby mobile offshore production unit for processing and export. To accelerate the timeline, the project uses a simplified topside configuration and adapts existing Sea Swift platform designs to reduce engineering lead times.
The second phase, which involves installing the full platform structure over completed wellheads, is targeted for later in 2026. The entire development process, including engineering, fabrication, drilling, and final installation, is expected to be completed within 15 months.
