Nextdoor Launches Neighborhood Intelligence Hyperlocal Advertising Tool
Nextdoor launched Neighborhood Intelligence, a tool using a neighborhood graph to provide marketers with hyperlocal data for targeted advertising across 350,000 mapped neighborhoods.
Nextdoor launched Neighborhood Intelligence, a new advertising tool designed to provide marketers with hyperlocal data through a proprietary neighborhood graph. The company has mapped 350,000 individual neighborhoods, allowing advertisers to monitor local brand conversations and target specific geographies with tailored advertisements.
CEO Nirav Tolia stated that the tool is specifically designed for businesses with physical locations, such as restaurant chains and car dealerships, whose needs vary by neighborhood rather than by entire ZIP codes. Tolia noted that providing a way to target advertising based on local needs is something Meta does not offer, adding that the primary challenge was building the technology rather than finding demand.
While the tool currently targets ads exclusively on the Nextdoor platform, the company may eventually extend the service to the broader web. The launch follows a period of financial growth, with Nextdoor reporting a 15% revenue increase to $75 million in the quarter ending in June, fueled by growth in the healthcare and home services sectors.
