Palantir Market Valuation Surpasses Oracle Despite Revenue Gap
Palantir Technologies has reached a market capitalization exceeding Oracle Corporation despite generating significantly lower annual revenue and profit.
The market valuation of Palantir Technologies has risen to approximately $447 billion, slightly surpassing the $425 billion valuation of Oracle Corporation. This parity exists despite a vast disparity in financial fundamentals; over the last 12 months, Palantir generated roughly $6.2 billion in revenue and $3 billion in profit, while Oracle earned $71.8 billion in revenue and $18.7 billion in profit.
Palantir is experiencing rapid scaling, reporting a net income of $1.06 billion in the second quarter of 2026. Company management expects 2026 revenue to increase by 82% over 2025 levels.
Oracle is also seeing growth, particularly in cloud infrastructure, where revenue jumped 30% to $19.3 billion in the first quarter of fiscal 2027. However, the company faces substantial financial pressure. Oracle reported negative free cash flow of $23.7 billion over fiscal 2026 and sold $20 billion in new stock last quarter to fund the expansion of its data centers.
