Qatar Coordinates Regional Diplomacy with Jordan and Saudi Arabia

Qatar conducted high-level diplomatic engagements with Jordan and Saudi Arabia to strengthen parliamentary ties and coordinate regional de-escalation efforts.

The Government of Qatar engaged in simultaneous diplomatic efforts on Wednesday to strengthen bilateral ties and address regional security. In Amman, Ambassador Sheikh Saud bin Nasser bin Jassim Al-Thani met with Mazen Qadi, Speaker of the House of Representatives of Jordan, to review historical ties and cooperation. Qadi affirmed the Jordanian House's commitment to developing relations with Qatar's Shura Council through increased consultation and the exchange of expertise on common interests.

Parallel to these parliamentary discussions, Qatari Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani held a telephone call with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah Al-Saud. The two officials focused on joint coordination and diplomatic efforts to de-escalate regional tensions and enhance stability.

During the call with Saudi Arabia, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani affirmed Qatar's support for diplomatic solutions to guarantee freedom of navigation and facilitate a comprehensive agreement for lasting peace in the region.
