Astellas Pharma Profits Surge to JPY 141.8 Billion in Q1

Astellas Pharma Inc. reported a substantial increase in earnings for its first quarter, with profits rising to JPY 141.828 billion from JPY 68.422 billion in the previous year. The company's revenue for the period grew 26.7% to JPY 640.914 billion, compared to JPY 505.794 billion during the same timeframe last year.

Earnings per share grew to JPY 78.96, more than doubling the previous year's EPS of JPY 38.11. Following these results, the company provided full-year guidance projecting total revenue of JPY 2.220 trillion and an EPS of JPY 167.46.
