The All Progressives Congress will begin a nationwide electronic membership registration on August 31 to digitize records ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The All Progressives Congress announced a nationwide electronic membership registration exercise scheduled to begin on Monday, August 31, 2026. The initiative seeks to digitize the party membership register and strengthen organizational structures in preparation for the 2027 general elections.
Under the new system, existing members must validate their current status, while new applicants must be at least 18 years old and provide a valid National Identification Number. The party is implementing the NIN requirement specifically to reduce multiple registrations and improve the overall integrity of its database.
National Publicity Secretary Felix Morka stated that the transition is intended to enhance data access for planning and management decisions and promote internal democracy across wards nationwide.
