Presidency Mocks NDC Campaign Council for Using Content Creators
Presidential aide Daniel Bwala criticized the Nigeria Democratic Congress for filling its 2027 election campaign council with social media influencers and hidden media surrogates.
The Presidency of Nigeria mocked the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) after the party announced its National Campaign Council for the 2027 general elections. Daniel Bwala, Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Media and Policy Communications, claimed the council list is filled with content creators and social media influencers rather than established politicians.
Bwala accused the NDC of using unnamed media surrogates who masquerade as on-air personalities in mainstream broadcasting to support the campaign without declaring their official affiliations. The Presidency has previously labeled the NDC's presidential candidate, Peter Obi, a content creation candidate.
The NDC campaign council is chaired by former Bayelsa State Governor and Senator Henry Seriake Dickson. Peter Obi serves as Co-Chairman and presidential candidate, while Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso serves as Co-Vice-Chairman and vice-presidential candidate. Cleopas Moses Zuwoghe holds the position of Vice Chairman.
