Kenosha's Frank's Diner Sold to Longtime Employee
Owners Kevin Ervin and Julie Rittmiller are selling Frank's Diner in Kenosha, Wisconsin, to employee Pablo Escribano and his wife Diana on July 31.
Co-owners Kevin Ervin and Julie Rittmiller announced they are selling Frank's Diner, a landmark train car restaurant in Kenosha, Wisconsin. The sale to longtime employee Pablo Escribano and his wife, Diana, will become official on July 31, 2026, ending the couple's 17-year tenure as owners.
Established in 1926, the restaurant is celebrating its centennial year and is recognized as the longest continuously operating diner in America. Ervin stated that the Escribanos were selected as buyers because of their passion and commitment to preserving the institution's traditions.
Escribano intends to maintain the diner's traditional atmosphere and signature menu, including homemade specials and Garbage Plates. While he plans to keep the core experience the same, he intends to introduce new recipes contributed by younger staff members.
