Krispy Kreme to Open 33 Shops in New York Metro

Krispy Kreme signed a franchise development agreement with Original Entrepreneurs LLC to open 33 new shops across the New York metro area over the next five years. The expansion targets New York City and the surrounding region, including Long Island and New Jersey.

Original Entrepreneurs LLC has operated 12 locations in the region since 2017. This expansion is part of a broader turnaround plan introduced last year to prioritize long-term profitability and capital-light franchise growth following the conclusion of the company's partnership with McDonald’s.

The New York deal follows several other recent growth initiatives. These include a refranchising agreement with WKS Restaurant Group to add 23 shops in California and Hawaii, as well as international expansion deals in Estonia, Mauritius, and the Netherlands.
