Apple Prepares Siri AI Overhaul and New Hardware Launches
Apple is integrating AI-powered Siri across its ecosystem and preparing to launch new Apple TV 4K hardware and camera-equipped AirPods this fall.
Apple is preparing a comprehensive overhaul of its Siri voice assistant and a series of hardware refreshes scheduled for release this fall. The new Siri AI, powered by Apple Foundation models built with Google Gemini, will feature deeper system integration and enhanced conversational capabilities across iOS 27 and macOS 27. These updates include a dedicated app for revisiting conversations and new Safari functions like Notify Me.
Leaked code from software simulators indicates that a new Apple TV 4K hardware refresh will launch alongside these updates. Internal evidence from the tvOS 27 simulator suggests the device will integrate the new Siri AI, codenamed campos, and will be paired with a next-generation Siri Remote identified as ATVRemote1,5.
Further leaks from a macOS update demo reveal upcoming AirPods featuring cameras in the stems. These sensors will feed data into a Visual Intelligence system, enabling Siri to interpret the wearer's surroundings without an iPhone. These hardware and software developments are expected to be announced during an upcoming iPhone event and coincide with the launch of the iPhone 18 lineup in September.
