Ford Halts F-150 Production at Dearborn and Kansas City Plants

Ford Motor Company halted production of its F-150 pickup truck at the Dearborn Truck Plant near Detroit starting Thursday, September 24. The company canceled all shifts at the facility through September 29.

The production disruptions extended to the Kansas City Assembly Plant, where Ford canceled several shifts due to the same unspecified issue. The company has not publicly disclosed the cause of the stoppages at either location.

To mitigate production losses, Ford increased general truck output at the Kentucky Truck Plant near Louisville. This shift in operations aims to offset the impact of the shutdowns in Michigan and Missouri.
