Stacker Ranks Top Immigrant Origins for Three U.S. Metro Areas

The data compilation service Stacker released rankings of the primary countries of origin for immigrants in three distinct U.S. metro areas, utilizing 2024 five-year estimates from the United States Census Bureau.

In the Victoria, Texas Metro Area, Mexico is the dominant source of immigrants, with 4,804 residents making up 70.72% of the foreign-born population. Other significant groups in the region include residents from Honduras, El Salvador, China, and Vietnam.

In the Wichita Falls, Texas Metro Area, Mexico also serves as the primary source, accounting for 44.02% of the foreign-born population with 4,078 individuals. Other notable immigrant communities in this area include people from the Philippines, Vietnam, Nigeria, and Germany.

Conversely, Canada is the leading source of foreign-born residents in the Wildwood-The Villages, Florida Metro Area. Canadian immigrants number 1,689 and represent 19.24% of the region's immigrant population, followed closely by Mexico and Cuba, which have 919 and 917 residents respectively.
