Tesco and Asda Launch Summer Fuel Discount Promotions
Tesco and Asda are offering UK shoppers fuel discounts tied to minimum in-store spending as part of wider summer customer incentive programs.
UK supermarkets are competing with fuel discounts tied to in-store spending. Tesco PLC is providing a 5 per cent discount on petrol and diesel for customers who spend £60 or more in-store. This offer provides a saving of up to 8p per litre, capped at a maximum discount of £10, with a minimum fuel purchase of £1 required. Qualifying in-store purchases can be made through Sunday, August 16, with printed coupons redeemable at kiosks until Sunday, August 23.
Asda Stores Limited is offering Asda Rewards members a 5p per litre fuel discount for spending £40 or more in a single in-store purchase. This promotion is available at 321 participating stores and Asda Express locations stocking Asda-branded fuel. Qualifying customers had until Friday, July 31 to earn vouchers, which remain redeemable through Friday, August 7 via the Asda Rewards app.
Tesco's fuel offer is part of a broader summer push that includes Freebie Thursdays for Clubcard members and an extended Kids Eat Free offer at The Café at Tesco. The Tesco fuel promotion excludes unmanned stations, pay-at-pump locations, Tesco Express sites selling Esso fuel, and locations in Northern Ireland and the Isle of Man.
