Palantir UK Executive Defends Company Against Political Criticism

Tom Watson, Senior Vice-President of Palantir UK, defended the company's operations and employment practices in Britain after politician Clive Lewis criticized the firm and Watson's move to the company as a sign of political decay.

Watson stated that Palantir employs nearly 1,000 people in the United Kingdom, which accounts for nearly one-fifth of the company's global workforce. He described these employees as a predominantly young group of highly skilled, well-paid engineers and software developers.

Watson argued that Palantir's technology provides essential support to police, armed forces, doctors, and nurses to improve public safety and services. He criticized political rhetoric that frames these workers as part of a systemic problem, asserting that such claims threaten the technological future of the country. In response to the criticism, Watson said, "But don’t malign the nearly 1,000 people I now have the privilege of working alongside."
