Vishay Intertechnology Launches Sfernice CHEP High-Frequency Resistors
Vishay Intertechnology introduced the Sfernice CHEP series of thin film chip resistors designed for high-power density in 5G, 6G, and aerospace applications.
Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. introduced the Sfernice CHEP series, a new line of thin film chip resistors engineered for high-frequency operation and high power density. The resistors utilize an aluminum nitride substrate and are available in 0402 and 0603 case sizes, providing power ratings up to 2.8 W without the need for a heatsink.
The series is designed to minimize internal reactance and parasitics to reduce noise and phase shift in RF performance. The 0402 flip-chip models support frequencies up to 50 GHz, while the 0603 models support up to 40 GHz.
These components target telecom and connectivity infrastructure, specifically 5G and 6G networks and LEO satellites. The company also positioned the products for aerospace and defense systems, including drones and phased array radar. Samples and production quantities are available with a 16-week lead time.
