Huawei Cloud Launches AI Agent-Ready Hybrid Cloud Architecture

During the HUAWEI CONNECT 2026 event in Shanghai, Huawei Cloud Computing Technologies Co., Ltd. unveiled an AI agent-ready hybrid cloud architecture and the Agentic Infra paradigm. This new framework shifts business execution from human-led applications toward a model of human-agent and agent-to-agent collaboration.

President of Huawei Hybrid Cloud Antonony Gu detailed a strategy based on the principle of All for AI, focusing on cloud infrastructure, data, AI, and the ecosystem. Technical enhancements include the A5 SuperPoDs and NPU pooling, which increase compute utilization from 30% to 70%. The company also introduced the AICS compute service and Context Memory Storage to improve token efficiency and secure autonomy. To support development, Huawei launched the AgentArts enterprise-grade agent platform and the open-source openJiuwen.

To accelerate sector-specific adoption, Huawei expanded its Industry AI Foundry with new Smart Government and AI Hardware zones. Real-world implementations include Standard Bank's transition to a cloud-native banking core and Sky47's development of a national AI cloud platform in Pakistan. Additionally, WPS Office integrated the agent platform with WPS 365 and WPS Comate to create vertical office agents.

The AICS service will be commercially released in China on September 30 and in international markets on November 30, while AgentArts will become available outside China on December 30.
