Republican Clay Fuller Wins Georgia 14th District Term
Republican Representative Clay Fuller won a full two-year term in Georgia's 14th congressional district, defeating Democratic challenger Shawn Harris.
Republican U.S. Representative Clay Fuller won a full two-year term in Georgia's 14th congressional district on Tuesday night. A former Lookout Mountain district attorney, Fuller defeated Democratic challenger Shawn Harris to maintain Republican control of the heavily Republican northwest Georgia seat.
Fuller previously won an April special election to complete the unexpired term of Marjorie Taylor Greene, who resigned from Congress late last year. Although Harris had narrowed the margin of defeat in previous contests, which increased Democratic expectations for a closer race, Fuller secured the victory.
The campaign for the seat included a rally held last month in the 14th district headlined by President Donald Trump.
