Delta Air Lines Resumes New York to Tel Aviv Flights
Delta Air Lines will restart daily nonstop flights between New York and Tel Aviv on September 6 following a regional security review.
Delta Air Lines Inc. will resume daily nonstop flights between New York and Tel Aviv starting September 6, 2026. The service will operate from John F. Kennedy International Airport to Ben Gurion International Airport using Airbus A330-900neo aircraft.
The decision follows a security review of the region and mirrors a similar move by United Airlines Holdings Inc., which announced the restart of nonstop flights from San Francisco on March 28. Delta, United, and American Airlines Group Inc. had previously suspended their services following the 2023 Hamas-Israel conflict.
The return of these major U.S. carriers is expected to increase competitive pressure on air fares. Prices had remained elevated while El Al Israel Airlines Ltd. maintained a near-monopoly on several of these routes during the suspension period.
