Greenland Energy Extends Jameson Land Drilling Deadline to 2028
Greenland Energy Company extended its exploration agreement with 80 Mile plc, pushing drilling deadlines to 2028 and assuming full responsibility for project permitting.
Greenland Energy Company extended its Jameson Land Farm-Out Agreement with 80 Mile plc through a Deed of Variation and Novation. The agreement pushes the longstop dates for the first and second exploration wells in East Greenland's Jameson Land Basin to December 31, 2028.
Under the revised terms, Greenland Energy Company assumes all rights and obligations previously held by its subsidiary, March GL Company. The parent company now takes sole financial and operational responsibility for securing the necessary permits and approvals for the drilling program. In exchange for these amendments, Greenland Energy Company will pay 80 Mile plc a fee of £500,000.
80 Mile plc remains responsible for other government consents and will continue to assist with permitting activities. The extension provides a revised framework to advance the Jameson Land program while the required permitting process progresses.
